Super Street Fighter II - The New Challengers I believe this has been an ongoing thing, possibly due to hardware limitation once you start pushing the res up that high. So, I have compiled a list of all known MSU-1 games (around 90, though some may be a WIP). They have the same rules as here regarding roms - somebody must be asleep over there. Unfortunately, there are several links with pre-patched roms (a BIG no-no in the rom hacking community), so I can't link to it. If everything is set up correctly, prepare to be amazed.įound a site with a ton of MSU-1 info - patches and PCM (music) sets a number of games have multiple music sets (remixes, etc.) available. sfc/.smc file with Snes9x like any other rom. For each MSU-1 game, make a folder and put the patched rom and the assorted MSU-1 files in there, using the following format. There should be a link(s) in the patch's readme (did I mention read this file? )ĥ. The Zelda 3 MSU-1 patch (and maybe others) require the rom to be expanded before patching (there's a tool for that).Ĥ. smc ones have headers - but don't rely on this! Tools and info are available at the site listed above. You may need a tool to check, then add/remove the header. Patch a headered rom with a patch intended for a header-less rom (or vice-versa), and it won't work. This is probably the most confusing part - SNES roms are particularly tricky because of headers. Admittedly the game boy and game gear overlays are interesting as they make it look exactly like it did on the. Make sure to read the readme with the patch - I can not stress this enough!ģ. In my retro arch, for all my other systems, setting the overlay option to disabled removed the overlays, however specifically with my game boy and game gear consoles I am unable to remove the system appearance to enable full screen. Get the rom file referenced in the patch - you won't find them at the site listed above, it's not a rom site. I can get into more detail, but here is the basis of what you need to do.ġ.
